Are you in the residential garage door business?
Our direction for the past 25 years has been toward the commercial side of the business. We do residential work, yet concentrate more fully on the commercial aspect of the business.
Do you install with your own labor force, or do you use subcontractors?
The Rocky Mountain Door Specialties team does sales service and installation. We do this for not only the products that we supply, but many of our competitive brands too.
What is your experience with professional sport facilities?
Rocky Mountain Door Specialties team members partnered with large general contractors to provide the commercial doors for Coors Field, the Pepsi Center, Invesco Field and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. These are the homes of Denver’s professional sports teams. In each case, we were on schedule and under budget.
What is the largest project you have undertaken?
Rocky Mountain Door Specialties team members provided the horizontal sliding doors and blast doors for the mobile tower at Cape Canaveral, FL, our largest project.
What is your experience in providing products for schools, and universities?
During the past 25 years, our team has provided acoustical doors, operable walls and folding partitions, fire-rated coiling doors, and dock equipment on hundreds of school facilities—ranging from elementary schools to universities.
What experience does Rocky Mountain Door Specialties have with high-speed doors?
For the past 15 years, we have been the premier high-speed door supplier in the Metro Denver area for parking garages, clean room applications, food distributors and cold storage facilities.
Do you represent national service companies for the repair of commercial doors and docks?
Yes. We have a wonderful business relationship with many companies providing service to key accounts (end-users) throughout the Metro-Denver area.
Can an architect contact your company for advice on what type of door system they should use on a project?
Yes. We continually field calls for many types of applications—from the architect, contractor or end user—to help with their design, specifications or to help them solve a problem.
